Whisky Blues 04:09
What do I do in my lowest times? I grab myself a bottle of the cheapest whisky wine. I sit alone playing drinking games, go through a bottle alone to ease my aches and pains. My girl left just a year ago, left me alone to fend for myself just playing my diddly bo. So I invited my good friend round to stay, good old jack from Tennessee cos' he keeps my blues at bay. I got the whisky blues, whisky blues, they're here to stay. I got the whisky blues, whisky blues they aint going away. My dad he threw me out his home. So I lived in a caravan and i spent my nights alone. And to keep my mind free from my woes, I kept a bottle of single malt in my cold dam mobile home. I got the whisky blues, whisky blues, they're here to stay. I got the whisky blues, whisky blues they aint going away. One day I hope to feel less blue. Rid myself of these drinking days and live my life to the full. Until that day comes I’ll spend my time, drinking triple whiskies till I’m old deaf and blind. With the whisky blues, whisky blues, they're here to stay. I got the whisky blues, whisky blues they aint going away.

Pack up our tents, pack up our lives, we're going on the road. Its summer time, the sun do shine we're gonna lay back and unload. Relieve ourselves with some good old' friends and have ourselves a time. We got 98 cans & a bottle of rum and I think we'll be just fine. We’ve all been there we've seen despair wanna give up and run. Well a cure for this is some good old beer and some straight up no rocks rum. So join me in a drinking binge we'll have ourselves a time. We got 98 cans and a bottle of rum and I think we'll be just fine. 98 cans & a bottle of rum is everything we need. Don't need to buzz from bad ass drugs, don't need no ganja weed. 98 cans and a bottle of rum we'll drink it all in one. Lay back, run wild and free and have ourselves some fun. 98 cans and a bottle of rum, 98 cans and a bottle of rum, 98 cans and a bottle of rum and i think we'll be just fine. The time will fly, the fun pass by, the night draw to a close. We'll wake up in the morning feeling rough and missing clothes. We'll reminisce for years to come and remember the time. We had 98 cans and a bottle of rum and it turned out just fine.

Wake up in the morning, turn on my TV, fed the new by anchor-man and his politics crony. Told that things will soon improve and the breadline come to end. By a man in a tailored suit through a smile so pretend. For years we've been fed the same but now it’s time for change. Personally I’m done with being trapped inside this cage. Mr Politician with his fingers in his ears, can take them out and listen up it’s been too many years. It’s time for change, it’s time for change. Schools seem to be falling around every bend and petrol rises contribute to MP dividends. Pension schemes will soon be gone and union voices lost, whilst MR Cameron's on his yacht our taxes fund the cost. The limbless front line patriots are left to walk alone, after all that they have given us to keep Britannia home. The tax evading 3% get richer every day, whilst only 65% turn out to have their say. It’s time for Change, It time for change. So .... Get up off your asses and in the voting lines. Take that pen and cross that box it takes such little time. There's more of us than there are of them and they cannot overcome if we stand up and tell them straight we're sick, we're tired, we're done. It’s time for change (repeated)

When I’m down, you lift me up. When I’m weak, you keep me tough. I miss your touch and i miss your kiss. I've loved before, but not like this. You’re my healing, fighting girl. And I’m your simple man. When I say yes, you say no. When I say stop, you say go. I miss your company, you work my mind. When I’m being slow, you’re always kind. You’re my complicated girl. And I’m your simple man. I wanna take you to Hull Fair and win you the biggest goldfish. I miss your fingers running through my curly hair. I miss the way you dress, the way you just don't care. One day I’ll come, I’ll come and see. You’re new found life in the big city. I’ll always be and old fashioned boy. But for you I’d be any modern toy. You’re my big city girl. And I’m your simple man. Your my one and only girl. And I’m your simple man.

My car isn't fast, my house isn't large, my salary just wont stretch as far, as i want. I think i deserve a pay rise. The Wine that i drink isn't nearly as fine, as the women i dream of and whom i strive to take, back to my mediocre place. Show them all the things that i don't have. Tell them of all my dreams that disappeared like a fad. My worries, my monies, how life is a hurry, my backache and my flu. Oh me, and my western blues. I can't afford that home by the sea and i'd like the kitchen blue but my girl disagrees, cos the curtains won't match the glassware. My phone is only an iPhone 4, it has lots of features but i want more, my TV is only forty inches. So i called my mum up the other day to tell her how i feel. She didn't listen to a word i said, her problems were way more real. So i put down the phone and i drank my wine, its a battle i always lose. Oh me, and my western blues. Me and my western blues.

This Life 03:21
Well who ever dreamed of space-ships and firemen? That one day you'd see the moon and all the things the world can bring. Who's disappointed and angered deep inside? That life didn't yield its best that mum and dad and teacher lied. Who didn't realise, it’s not all fun and games? That passing life's exams didn't guarantee success or fame. I demand a refund, I want it all back now. I’m sick and tired of getting older, I’m sick and tired of sweating from my brow. And 9 to 5, the hours that navigate our hopes, dreams and social lives. 9 to 5. Let’s get out of this life. Well, struggling to pay the bills, no heating for the old or ill. Is this what our futures hold, are we destined to be sad and cold. I miss the times my friends and i would play out on the fields, no need to dream of next week or the late fees on our credit bills. Who remembers long ago when a pint was nigh on free? Life was much simpler and our eyes weren't glued to big TV's. I suggest we live our lives to the fullest extent, don't live your life like average Joe, give up mediocrity for lent. And, 9 to 5, the hours that navigate our hopes dreams and social lives. 9 to 5. Let’s get out of this life. Whoa, this life, whoa. 9 to 5, the hours that dictate what we do with our lives. 9 to 5. Let’s get out of this. Life is not a commodity, it can’t be bought or sold. It’s inherent and belongs to us, don't do with it what you’re told. The soul however can be taken, crushed, left to rot. So leave your mark upon this world, don’t be the one that time forgot.
